For certain applications the surface finish of the wire is a very critical parameter. For this purpose, Lamifil has developed a special shaving process that removes a thin layer of metal from the wire. This operation reduces surface defects resulting in a better surface quality. Shaved wires can be found in electrical as well as mechanical end applications.
