Stranded conductor

Supporting the catenary system, a stranded conductor helps to enable power transmission in overhead lines.

Available for both AC and DC lines, these stranded conductors are used as messenger cables, stitch wires, cross span conductors or earthing wire. Lamifil’s stranded conductors are available in different sizes and copper alloys according to DIN 48201 T1&T2, NF C 34-110-2&3 and BS 7884 standards and can be tailored to customer needs.

Stranded conductor according to NF C 34-110- 2 & 3 / NF F 55-681

Following other categories of conductivity than DIN, stranded conductors that meet NF C standards are produced according to slightly different specifications. These conductors can be used as messenger cables, stitch wires, cross span conductors or earthing wire. They are available for both AC and DC lines and can be produced by Lamifil to meet specific customer needs.
