Conform extrusion or drawing allows for seamless production of long lengths of profile aluminum wire on coil, as an alternative for billet extrusion.
The key advantage of profile wires is that their shape can be tailored to the end product and that process steps can be emitted. As Lamifil uses a continuous process these wires can be delivered on long length on coil or drum. In that way manufacturers can realize longer production runs, while reducing downtime, and consequently saving resources.
Lamifil can produce different aluminium or aluminium alloys with applications as diverse as underground cables, window spacers, bus bars or heat exchangers. Our range includes sectors, flats, rectangles or other customized profiles up to a width of 40mm.
