Lamifil is pleased to announce that Dennis Vanleene has been appointed Technology Director for its railway and specialty wire business. In this role, Dennis will support the realization of Lamifil’s growth strategy involving catenary wires and semi-finished wire products in aluminum and copper alloys. Next to innovative overhead conductors, Lamifil designs and produces advanced catenary wires and semi-finished ‘specialty’ products with applications in the automotive, aerospace as well as electronics and consumer goods manufacturing. To pursue growth opportunities for its railway and specialty wires business, Lamifil steps up its focus on technological developments and techno-commercial support for new alloys and applications. The appointment of Dennis Vanleene underpins Lamifil’s objectives to approach existing and new markets with a structured product management approach.
Dennis Vanleene will be working side by side with Peter Hermans, who continues to head the company’s technology department for overhead conductors, the R&D department and the accredited lab. Joining the power of its complementary technology departments will contribute to bolstering Lamifil’s future growth.
